About Daniel Schwab Wyoming
Daniel Schwab is a community leader and businessman based in Afton, Wyoming. He grew up in Star Valley and is passionate about nature. As a young man, he was fascinated by wildlife and nature.
His grandfather and father taught him how to fly fish and hunt, which helped him develop a deeper understanding of the environment. Daniel worked hard as an Eagle Scout, which resulted in him becoming more enthralled with the world around him. His passion for the outdoors continues to drive his personal and professional endeavors.
Daniel spent a lot of time playing in the spring creeks in his backyard as a child. He learned how important these areas were to the environment and the fish that he and his friends would catch. He eventually realized that the local ranchers and farmers were responsible for the damage that they had caused to the spring creeks.
In 1997, Daniel Schwab started his own business focused on acquiring rundown properties in Wyoming and Idaho. He then hired experienced engineers and architects to help him develop land restoration plans. Through this process, the land’s natural processes were able to heal.
In 2002, Daniel’s companies acquired thousands of acres of land in Wyoming. Through his companies, he was able to become one of the largest landowners in the state. He was also able to control over 100,000 acres of land through lease agreements with the Bureau of Land Management. After realizing how quickly his companies had been able to grow, Daniel decided to become even more passionate about preserving the state’s natural beauty.
After conducting extensive research on various conservation programs, he learned about the concept of conservation banking. He then started his company Terrawest Conservancy. Terrawest Conservancy focuses on creating conservation banks and helping other landowners protect their properties and the habitats of endangered and threatened species.
Daniel is focused on making Intermountain West a more prosperous region for its various wildlife and fisheries. He aims to protect the habitats of threatened and endangered species and improve the quality of life for those in the area.
Daniel owns a fly-fishing club, Feathered Hook of Jackson Hole. He’s also the owner of Renegade Wyoming, a company that has created a luxury fly-in community in the southern portion of Yellowstone.
He’s also an avid photographer who enjoys capturing the area’s natural beauty. Although he doesn’t sell his photos, he gives them to people interested in learning more about the beauty of God’s Earth. He believes that his images are a gift from God and that he should be able to use them to show the world how fortunate they are.
Daniel’s passion for preserving the natural environment and improving the lives of the people there is the main reason he decided to become a philanthropist. He’s regularly involved in various charitable organizations and causes. He’s also helped fund multiple scholarships for local athletes.
